FOUND: Silky Terrier Male Dog


A silver-colored, male silky Terrier was found approximately two weeks just south of Ripley.  The ones who found the dog have been searching for its owner, but have not been able to locate her/him.If you are the owner or you might know the owner, email sparrowhawk0052@yahoo.com

Red Knights OK Chapter 7 Poker Run Slated for Saturday**UPDATED WITH RESULTS**


The Red Knights (firefighters motorcycle club) have put together a Poker Run slated for this Saturday, May 18th, to help raise money for children ages 6 to 16 who have suffered major burns or disfiguring injuries, to attend the Oklahoma Firefighter's Burn Camp (OKFFBC) in Adair, OK.

**Update - The Red Knights first ever Poker Run raised approximately $2,000 toward sending kids who have been burn victims to camp.  Over 400 people came out in support of the event.  The Red Knights have reserved the date for next year's Poker Run for June 14, 2014.

'Par 4 the Horse' Charity Golf Tournament Slated for June 3rd


Right Path Riding Academy, 16620 Old Shamrock Hwy, Drumright, is holding a "Par 4 the Horse" Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 3, 2013.  The tournament is a fun way to support The Right Path in its 17th year of providing therapeutic horse back riding for children with special needs.

Dena Floyd, Rotarian Of The Day met up with fellow members for Thursday's weekly meeting of the Rotary Club at the Steer Inn, which was indeed a informative "show and tell" type presentation of a ancient art being preserved by local retired postman and craftsman of primitive archery, Elmer Ledgerwood.

7th Annual June Noble Memorial Rodeo Slated for May 3rd & 4th


The 7th Annual June Noble Memorial Rodeo is coming a little earlier this year - May 3rd & 4th at the Rick Turner Arena in Jim Thorpe Park on Hiway 51 in Yale.  Cost for adults is $10, children 4 - 12 years old $5 and children 3 and under get in Free.  Those with a Military I.D. also get in FREE.

Rupert is a 10 month old Boxer mix who has been neutered and is up-to-date on his shots.  He is Heart worm negative. Rupert is very obedient.  He is crate trained.  Loves people and other dogs. Drumright Wildcatter's Open Spring Rodeo Slated for Saturday


The Drumright Round Up Club arena will be a hot spot for rodeo fans Saturday night as D & R Productions & Warren Rodeo Co. team up to bring the Drumright "Wildcatters" Open Rodeo.  The event will include tiedown calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, ladies barrels, junior barrels (15 & under), Pee Wee barrels (8 & under), bull riding, ladies breakaway roping and a Pony Express race!

Cushing High School Project Graduation is holding a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, April 27th at 6 p.m. in the Cushing Community Theatre in Downtown Cushing.

Cushing 10 & Under Baseball Team Fundraiser


A raffle fundraiser to benefit the Cushing 10 & under baseball team is underway.  Two drawings will be held - one for a Remington 870 Express Shotgun or $300 and one for a Traditions "Pursuit" Ambush Black Powder 50 cal. rifle w/scope.

Judith Karman Hospice Announces Free Educational Program


Judith Karman Hospice and the Hospice Foundation of America are teaming up to provide a learning workshop Tuesday, April 30, "Improving Care for Veterans Facing Illness and Death."  The workshop will be held at First Presbyterian Church located at 6th and Duck in Stillwater, from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Lunch will be provided.

Ripley Project Graduation to host Jason Savory Concert


Ripley Project Graduation will be hosting a chuck-wagon style dinner, a dessert auction and a concert by local country music artist,  Jason Savory.  April 6, 2013 6:30pm, Ripley Gymnasium. Tickets are only $10.00 for dinner and the concert.  All proceeds benefit Ripley Project Graduation and the 2013 Ripley Senior Class.

This week's pet is Izzy - a female Beagle mix who is full of energy.  She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her shots, however, Izzy tested positive for heartworms and is currently going through treatment and doing great!

CRH Foundation Create-a-Basket Project

The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center at Hillcrest will host Tatas & Tinis April 4th to benefit Oklahoma Project Woman (OPW). Funds from this second annual cocktail-themed party will help to provide free mammograms for low-income women throughout the state.

Cushing Tiger 10 & Under Hamburger Dinner Friday, March 15th


The Cushing 10 & under baseball team will have a Hamburger Dinner this Friday, March 15th from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Cushing Youth Center Community Room.  Dinner includes a hamburger, baked beans, chips, dessert and drink for just $7.
