Oklahoma State got everything they wanted on September 5th. A
showpiece of a new stadium opened with a signature win over an SEC
power, and a defense that can play, apparently with the best.
Oklahoma State fans will get a chance to meet and greet with players
and coaches during the annual Fan Appreciation Day on August 8th at the
OSU Athletics Center.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys spoiled one homecoming, and made the most of another Saturday night in Boulder. Homecoming for the Colorado Buffaloes was less than hoped for by those who made the trip to Boulder, but for Zac Robinson, a former standout prep player in Littleton, Colorado, it was a triumphant return home.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys will host Iowa State in a regionally broadcast game by ABC television. Kickoff is slated for 2:37 PM at Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday. OSU is 7-1 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play. The Cyclones are 2-6 on the season and 0-4 in Big 12 play.
It was the biggest game of the season for Oklahoma State, and the biggest game anywhere in the country on Saturday in Austin, and the crowd of 98,500 plus and a national television audience got their money's worth, as the Cowboys battled the Longhorns down to the final play of the game.
Oklahoma State got what they wanted most on opening day, a win on the road. Although not flashy, the Cowboys hammered out a workman-like performance against Washington State and defeated the Cougars 39-13.
OSU fans will have a chance to meet the 2008 Cowboy football team and the Cowgirl Soccer team on Saturday August 2nd during the annual Fan Appreciation Day.
