The Cushing Masonic Lodge #111 has been a friend to the Cushing Regional Hospital and to the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation for many years.    They have worked side by side in order to help provide the best possible medical care available.   At one time, the Hospital was managed and operated by the Payne County Masonic Hospital Association.  With the vested interest in the Hospital, the Cushing Masonic Lodge is willing to assist in working with the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation to generate funds for the Foundation, which in turn improves the quality of healthcare for the citizens in the Cimarron Valley.

Each year the local Cushing Masonic Lodge #111 is allocated $10,000 from the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma to be used as matching funds for charitable events.

Raising funds for the Charity Golf Event began in 2007.  At that time, the Masons stepped forwarded and wanted to play an active role in generating these funds. Masonic Lodge member, Bob Felts, volunteered to organize and run the first Charity Golf Event.  He brought in several members from the Cushing Masonic Lodge # 111 to register golfers and help with parking.  In 2008, Mr. Felts assisted the Foundation again.  As in the previous year, they made a pledge of $2500.

The only difference between 2008 and 2009 was the Masonic Lodge Foundation had some extra money available that could be matched with generated funds.  The Masonic Lodge #111 had assisted the CRH Foundation in raising the funds for the Golf Event and the CRH Foundation's Charitable Golf Event was a candidate for the extra funds.  On February 23, Lodge Master Mike Harris, along with several local Masonic Lodge members presented the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation with an additional check for $3105.30 to be applied to the Charity Golf Event.  Receiving the funds on behalf of the CRH Foundation is Lee Roy Kalka, president of the Foundation.

The Cushing Masonic Lodge #111 has matched over $25,000 since the beginning of the construction and renovation of Cushing Regional Hospital in 2004.  It truly is a friend to Cushing Regional Hospital and to the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation.
