Cushing Men Arrested In Stillwater Armed Robbery
(Stillwater, Okla) - Two Cushing men have been arrested by Stillwater Police on an armed robbery complaint. A third suspect is being sought in connection with the alleged robbery. Stillwater Police issued the following press release Tuesday:
On Monday morning, June 6th, 2011, shortly after 1:30AM Stillwater Police Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Husband St. to investigate a reported armed robbery. The victim advised officers that he was confronted at his residence by two young black male suspects demanding money. Both suspects were armed with knives. The victim was not injured in the incident. The suspects ran south from the victim's residence after robbing him of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects were picked up by a potential third participant, a Caucasian female, in the crime who was driving a large red car with a light colored top.
At 10:35AM on the 6th the victim and a friend were walking near the area of Hall of Fame and Duck when the victim saw the two black male suspects walking near that same intersection. The victim flagged down a Parking Enforcement Officer who relayed the information to Dispatch and police officers.
The two suspects were contacted and detained nearby. They were subsequently identified by the victim as the persons that robbed him. Those two suspects were arrested for armed robbery and charges are being presented to the District Attorney's office.
The suspects are identified as 18 year old Erick Dwayne Hagler and 20 year old Dwayne Lamar Vaughn, Jr.; both of Cushing.
The investigation into this case is still ongoing pending identification of the Caucasian female who was driving the red car that picked the suspects up after the robbery and her role in this crime.
