Attorney General Hunter’s Office Raises Money to Benefit Field Trip for Positive Tomorrows

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter today joined a group of 11 students from Positive Tomorrows to tour the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum’s new science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning lab after a recent office-wide fundraiser produced enough money to pay for students’ admission and provide lunch.

A 26-year-old Cushing woman accused of failing to provide necessary food and water for a cat kept inside her home in the 800 block of E. Walnut Street was charged Tuesday with animal cruelty on June 23.

Stillwater Man Gets 7-Year Prison Term for Third Drug Conviction

A 28-year-old Stillwater man has been given a seven-year prison term followed by eight years of probation for his third conviction of possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, to which he pleaded guilty last week in Payne County District Court.

Community Members Offering Donations for New K-9

On July 12th Stillwater PD lost one of its two K-9 officers, Zena, to a
sudden illness. Since that time several members of the community have
stepped forward giving donations to help us purchase a new dog. The
generosity of those individuals was an unexpected blessing as we debated how
we would get a new dog. The actions of those citizens have started a
movement.
