Patrol Car Hit on Turner Turnpike

Less than two hours after the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation hosted a press conference reminding drivers to move over and slow down, the OHP received word that another patrol car had been struck from behind on the Turner Turnpike.

The Stillwater Police Department is again participating in an ENDUI effort this weekend. Stillwater P.D. along with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Payne County Sheriff’s Office will be using checkpoints and saturation patrols in an effort to find and arrest drunk drivers. Our goal is to focus our resources on this unacceptable crime to keep our community safe!

Stillwater Woman Accused of Choking Boyfriend

A Stillwater woman on probation for methamphetamine possession and child neglect has been jailed on $25,000 bail on felony charges of choking her boyfriend and threatening him with two knives.

Stillwater Police Seeking Burglary Suspect

Stillwater police are looking for a white man suspected in the Oct. 11 burglary of a house being remodeled on the inside at 1301 S. Lewis Street, Captain Kyle Gibbs said in a news release today.

Cushing Ex-Con Jailed on Air Conditioner Theft Charge

An ex-convict from Cushing, who remains in the Payne County Jail on $10,000 bail, has been ordered to appear in court on Dec. 19 for a preliminary hearing on charges of stealing a Cushing man’s air conditioner and attempting to elude Cushing Police Officer Michael Boone Bruggman.
While he was being transported to the Cushing City Jail, Andrew Paul Phelps, 33, “made the spontaneous statement of ‘Well, I bet this one gets me 10 years,’” the Cushing officer alleged in his affidavit.

Stillwater Man Accused of Peeping with Cell Phone

A Stillwater man accused of standing outside the bathroom window of a woman with the intent to watch her while she was taking a shower and using his cell phone to take a video of her remained jailed on $10,000 bail today with an order to appear before a Payne County judge on Nov. 7.
