Stillwater Man Convicted of Fatally Stabbing Friend

A Payne County jury deliberated for three hours before convicting a Stillwater man of fatally stabbing a friend in the chest and recommending that he be given a life prison term for first-degree murder, according to prosecutor Kevin Etherington.

A felony second-degree murder charge in a drug-related slaying north of Stillwater was dropped by the prosecution Tuesday against ex-convict Larissa Joy Singleton-Clark, who then pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine for which she was given a 12-year prison term, a court official told KUSH.
