Peggy Ann Goodwin, longtime Drumright resident, passed from this life on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Oilton Christ Fellowship in Oilton, OK.
Peggy was born on December 23, 1943 to Kenneth and Freda (Fairchild) Smith in St. Louis, Missouri. They moved to Drumright, not long after she was born. She attended school at Drumright and graduated from Drumright High School in 1962.
Peggy had three children, Freddie, Tressa, and Randy. She was a very caring and loving mother, who always put her children first. Peggy married Terry Goodwin on September 3, 2003 at Oilton Christ Fellowship. They shared many loving years together.
Peggy had many loves throughout her life. She loved her Lord and Savior. She attended church every Sunday and read her Bible daily. Peggy enjoyed spending her free time with her dogs and cats. She had to have a spotless house, and updated frequently because of her fondness to interior decorating. When she found free time to sit down and relax, she would tend to her sewing projects.
Peggy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Terry of the home, one son, Randy Cartwright and wife, Amee of Reston, VA, one daughter, Tressa Bird of Bartlesville, OK, one brother, Pat Smith and wife, Linda of Chandler, OK. Peggy is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Peggy is preceded in death by one son, Freddie Cartwright and one great grandchild, Levi Fisher.
