Imogene Fisher

Imogene Leola Sadler Fisher, passed away on March 3, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a short illness, at the age of 88 years.

She was born in Carney, Oklahoma on December 16, 1928 to Ira W. and Alene Howerton Sadler. The family moved to Cushing when she was small, where she has lived most of her life.

On September 13, 1946 she married Earl T. White. To this union was born three sons, Larry Earl, Don Ray and Dwayne Thomas. The marriage ended in 1963. On July 3, 1964 she married Clifford L. “Pete” Fisher. He had a daughter Brenda.

Imogene started working for Montgomery Wards in the catalog department in September, 1963 and worked until Wards closed in Cushing in August, 1985. She was a life-long member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her sons, Larry and wife Lynne of Yale, Don and wife Kathy of Shattuck, step-daughter Brenda Goforth and husband Jerry of Oilton; two sisters, Neva Acklin of Tulsa and Jo Ann Van Ousterhout and husband Bill of Fort Worth, TX; three grandsons, Dwayne and wife Kim of Pawnee, Chris and wife Kathy of Yale and Dana of Yale; four great-grandchildren, Lori, Landen, Austin and Chloe; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Dwayne; her parents and husband Pete.
Services will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jason Pickering officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church building fund in her memory.
