Patsy Jean Colberg- Staley, a longtime Oilton resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home in Oilton, surrounded by her family at the age of 82.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Oilton. Pastor Bill Baumgarten will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Oilton, Oklahoma.

Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday evening at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton, Oklahoma.

Patsy was born on August 2, 1934 in Oilton, Oklahoma to the late John and Nettie (First) Browning. She grew up in Oilton, graduating from Oilton High School in 1952. Patsy married the love of her life Carl “Jim” Colberg on August 21, 1952 in Olive, to this union Mike and Rhonda were born. They lived in Oilton then Jim began working for the oilfield and they moved to Montana, Wyoming, Kansas and back to Oilton where they settled. For a short time, she worked as a stenographer for Spartan Air Craft. She worked downtown at Pope’s grocery, the Oilton Drug Store and the Café where she enjoyed being able to socialize with everyone. Patsy loved to socialize, shop, listening to music, pampering herself with nails and pedi’s and going to the beauty shop. After the death of her beloved, she poured herself into her family. Patsy met the next love of her life a few a years ago, David Staley. They married on January 9, 2015 at the Oilton Christ Fellowship.

Patsy was a faithful and active member of Oilton Christ Fellowship Church. She loved the Lord and witness to everyone that would listen. Patsy was also very good with match making and taking care of many other elderly friends.

Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be truly missed.

Patsy is survived by her husband David of the home, sons Mike Colberg of Oilton, Bruce Staley of Arkansas, Steve Staley and wife Cathy of Jennings, Jay Staley and wife Ann of Wylie, Texas, daughters Rhonda Shelly-Wissler and husband Ron of Yale, Carol Billingsley and husband Craig of Broken Arrow, brother J. W. Browning of Oilton, sister Lorene Allen of Coffeyville, Kansas, grandchildren Michelle Moe, Brad Mills and wife Beth, Angel Slingerland and husband Israel, Brandy Wissler, Russell Shelley and wife Asia, Kris Collier and husband Carey, Toni Winterbottom and husband Steve, 22 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, sister Emma Deeds and brother Bobby Browning.
