Carolyn Louiclle Sims a longtime Silver City/ Jennings resident, passed away on Friday evening with her family by her side at the age of 68.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Oilton.  Pastor Randell Newby will officiate.  Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Oilton.


Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton, Oklahoma.


Carolyn was born on April 6, 1948 in Bristow, Ok to the late Virginia Mae Rusco. She grew up in Oilton and Olive, graduating from Olive High School.  Carolyn married James Lee Stockton in 1964, to this union one daughter Teraca was born.  She lived in Oklahoma City and California before moving back to the Mannford/Jennings area where she has resided for the past twenty six years.  Carolyn was a member of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed embroidering, camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and teaching her granddaughter to cook.  Carolyn also enjoyed the Mountain Man Re-enactments and garage sales. She loved spending time with her daughter and especially her grandchildren.


Carolyn is survived by her daughter Teraca Robinson and husband Edward Terry Robinson Jr of Jennings, brother Charles Moore and wife Nancy of Quay, grandchildren Colby Robinson, Haydyn Robinson, Kaleb Robinson, Jocelyn Robinson and close family friend Christe Apperson. As well as numerous other family and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Steven Moore, sister Lila Moore and long time partner William “Bill” Bell.
