Cushing, Oklahoma



Faith Church – is serving a meal every Wednesday at 6 pm for those in need. (Downtown Cushing).


Shred Day – for Earth Day. All Cushing Chamber Members can bring their papers to be shredded on Friday, April 21st (2017) from 10 am to Noon in their Parking Lot, at 1301 E. Main (Cushing). No membership to the Cushing Chamber you are still welcome but a fee will be charged.


Cushing Pride – Earth Day is Saturday, April 22nd (2017) curbside service starts at 6 am that day. Spring clean-up is going on all week long through the 22nd of April.

Cushing Pride Cleanup is held in conjunction with the “Great American Cleanup” sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Keep Oklahoma Beautiful organization. Contact Brenda Butcher, 100 Judy Adams Blvd., or call 918-225-0277 ext. 4147.


Firefighter Games – hosted by Cushing Fire Department at Cushing High School.  Local firefighters will be competing for a trophy.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22nd.

City Wide Yard Sale – going on in Drumright on Saturday, April 22nd (2017).


Good Citizen Day – is on Saturday, April 22nd (2017) and everyone is invited to participate in the clean-up day at 9:00 am in front of the Chamber of Commerce (103 E. Broadway). FREE hot dog lunch provided by the DHS Student Council at the Historical Society, 301 E. Broadway, on the lawn. Donations will be gratefully accepted.

Creek Nation School Clothing Program – is going on now until December 29th (2017). A School Clothing grant is an allowance of $200 per student, per year. This amount is NOT tax exempt and the Application can be emailed, faxed, mailed in or dropped off in the office. Applicant must keep copies of receipts for their records.
