Mike Davis

Michael Lynn Davis, owner of Mac’s Quik Lube, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 63 years.

The son of the late Lindsay Davis and Norma Jean, Mike was born on December 30, 1953 in Los Banos, California. He was raised by his grandparents in Bristow, graduating from Bristow High School with the class of 1972.

Mike was united in marriage to Mary Newton on January 1, 1973 near Shamrock and the couple moved to Cushing in June of 1973. To this union three children, Jason, Kerri and Madison were born. Mary preceded him in death on March 25, 2013. On February 14, 2014, Mike married Cynthia Monroe.

Prior to purchasing Mac’s Quik Lube in 1988, Mike had worked in the oil industry for Tex City Service and Kerr McGee.

Mike enjoyed drag racing; riding motor cycles; tinkering with cars and was looking forward to retiring and getting his boat in the water. He also enjoyed hanging out with his children, grandchildren, animals and was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan. Having owned Mac’s for over 29 years, Mike loved his customers and considered them part of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy, of the home; children, Jason Davis and wife, Merissa, Kerri McKinney, Madison Davis, Quentin Filbeck, Cherie Fleshman and Joseph Monroe; nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 9, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Brother Sonny Johnston officiating.

The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Floyd Family Center.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
