Bobby Lee Mabe passed away June 7, 2017 at his home in Cushing. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK. Funeral services will be held on June 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. Pastor Sonny Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday, June 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Bobby was born on April 7, 1941 to James Fred and Mamie Mabe, Bobby grew up in Tulsa, attending and graduating from Central High School in 1959. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corp in August of 1959. He served three tours in Vietnam, and retired after 20 years of honorable service as a Gunnery Sergeant in 1979.

Bobby met and married Sunny Jean Pence on September 12, 1967, and to this union there were three children they raised together: Bobby, Dedra, and Schloe. After the passing of Sunny Jean, Bobby married Diane Schmidt. Upon retiring from the military Bobby began truck driving, doing long haul driving all across the United States. He attended the First Presbyterian Church until his health declined. Bobby always tried to make sure everyone was well taken care of.



Bobby was a family man at heart. His priorities were Family, Marines, and Trucking.

He is survived by wife Diane Mabe, four daughters: Debra Lovelace and husband Cody, Schloe Kingaman and husband Robert, Shannon Ramos and husband Kip, and Danielle Pracht and husband Randy, two sons, Bobby Mabe, and Billy Schmidt and wife Lorie, 15 grandchildren: Candice Guerrero, Katie and Logan Kingaman, Chloe, Isabella and Asher Mabe, Rhiannon, Rylee, Tristan, Preston, Blake, and Ava Pracht, Steven, Clarissa, Natalie Ramos, and Deserae Lacy, Three great grandchildren: Nico and Ella Guerrero, and Kaleb Lacy.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife Sunny Jean Mabe.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bobby’s name at the VFW, and the American Legion.
