Summer Reading Program – movie at 1:30pm, June 15th, from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm (the movie Trolls is Rated PG). Children 10 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Adult Coloring Group – will meet on Thursday, June 15th from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the Cushing Public Library. A program is for adults who enjoy coloring. You can bring your supplies or you can use ours. For more information go online to http://cushinglibrary.okpls.org/library-info/.

 

Ron Taylor Memorial 3on3 Basketball Tournament – Saturday, June 17th, for the First Annual Ron “Bones” Taylor Memorial 3on3 Basketball Tournament., benefiting the Cushing Secure Haven Shelter. Cost to enter the tournament is $50 per team, with a $5 per person admission fee at the door. Each player in the tournament will receive a commemorative t-shirt (please specify size when registering).

There will be two brackets to enter: men’s and coed. Each bracket will have a trophy for the winning team, medals for the players of that team, and a $150 cash prize. This event is Saturday, June 17th (2017) from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Cushing Upper Elementary, 316 North Steele Avenue (Cushing).

Family Fun Night – on Thursday, June 15th at the Beacon Drive Inn (7:30 pm – 11 pm), bring your lawn chairs, blankets, frisbees, and bug spray. The movie is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (Rated PG-13). Gate opens at 7:30 pm; concessions available for purchase. Cost is $1.50 per person or $7.00 per car load and you pay at the gate.

Creek Nation School Clothing Program – is going on now until December 29th (2017). A School Clothing grant is an allowance of $200 per student, per year. This amount is NOT tax exempt and the Application can be emailed, faxed, mailed in or dropped off in the office. Applicant must keep copies of receipts for their records.
