Danny Williams

Danny Mack Williams died suddenly on July 7, 2017, in his apartment in the Cimarron Tower in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Danny was born on June 25, 1951, in Sentinel, Oklahoma, to Harold and Gladys Williams. The family moved to Cushing, Oklahoma, in 1956, and Danny attended Cushing Public Schools where he played baseball in his early school years and was active in FFA. He was fun-loving, a prankster, and always up for an adventure as a kid. He graduated from high school in 1969. He was an active member of the AGR fraternity at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in Dairy Science in 1973. After graduating from college, Danny worked for many dairies across the United States and made many friends along the way. He worked at Braum’s Dairy where his duties included riding horses to herd the cattle. He worked at dairies in Wisconsin, New York, Kansas, and Georgia. He was a hard worker and could do just about anything and knew just about everything when it came to dairy cattle. And, of course, because he was a cowboy, he loved the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Danny is the stepfather of Stacy Hart-Townsley of Park City, Kansas, and the father of three girls: Heather Ann Harris of Eureka, Kansas; Lindsey Kay Olson, of Eureka, Kansas; and Deanna Marie Barnes of Butler, Georgia. He is the father-in-law to Dave Harris and Trey Barnes. He has eight grandchildren: Bailee Wallace, Benjamin Sunderland, Imagin Olson, Ashton Olson, Keagan Johnson, Dylan Trey Barnes, Grady Mack Barnes, and Hunter Roy Barnes.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and sister and brother-in-law, Jenean Jones and David Jones of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Ginger Williams, of Hominy, Oklahoma; and four nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Tom Williams, and his parents, Harold and Gladys Williams.

After spending time in Texas, Danny came back home to Cushing in 2013. He loved Cushing and had many old friends there. However, he loved his family most of all. Danny was a believer in Jesus Christ and prayed every day. He was a kind man with close friends that would do anything in the world for him. He was content in his later years and thankful for his blessings.

Funeral services are Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at The First Baptist Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. He will be buried in Cordell, Oklahoma, next to his parents.

Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
