Robert Eugene Bade, longtime Oilton resident, passed from this life on Friday, July 7, 2017 in Tulsa surrounded by family at the age of 79. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Oilton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton.

Robert was born on June 18, 1938 to James Franklin and Mabel Orvene (Roberts) Bade in Swedeborg, Missouri. He grew up in Swedeborg, Missouri and graduated high school in Richland, Missouri. After graduating, Robert joined the United States Marine Corps. After serving his country proudly, Robert moved back to Missouri. He met and fell in love with Rose Drew. They were married on June 19, 1969 in Dixon, Missouri. Robert and Rose moved to Oilton after they were married in the early 70’s. They shared 44 loving years together before her passing in 2013. They had seven children: Don, David, Jim, Steve, Rae, Chrystall, and Rosetta.

Robert worked as a truck driver in the oil industry for many years. In his free time, he was often found in his shop taking on his wood working projects. He was talented enough to even build his own house from the ground up. Robert was seen around town on his lawn mower, either mowing for friends or at Highland Cemetery.

Robert was an active member in the First Baptist Church in Oilton and would help with anything the church needed. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and his dog, Daisy. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by four sons, Don Campbell and wife, Debbie of Waynesville, MO, David Bade and wife, Jackie of Shawnee, Jim Bade and wife Sharon of Boise City, MO, and Steve Bade of Hackettstown, NJ; two daughters, Rae Russell and husband, Jerry of Dixon, MO, and Chrystall Smith and husband, Gary of Oilton; one brother, Duane Bade of Fair Grove, MO. Robert is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Bade, parents, James and Orvene Bade, one daughter, Rosetta Johnson, one brother and his wife, Norman and Eileen Bade.
