Raymond Earl Dennis, longtime Yale resident, passed from this life on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by family at the age of 74. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Grace Assembly Church in Yale, OK. Interment will follow at Lawson cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Raymond was born on August 24, 1942 to Franklin Earl and Virginia Mac (Morris) Dennis in Chouteau, OK. He moved to Yale in 1946 and graduated from Yale High School in 1962. After graduating, Raymond married Diane Cox and to this union had: Christopher Wayne and Tonya Lynn. Raymond worked as a truck driver for many years and later worked for his Lord and Savior. He was all about family and the children. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and teaching them about life, especially coffee. Raymond preached for many years at the Grace Assembly in Yale and could always be found, “beating on the organ” and singing his hymns. When Raymond was at home, he would be working in the kitchen cooking up something good to eat, especially his famous tabouli or rum cake. Raymond was a simple man who loved to enjoy his coffee and tell stories.
Raymond was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 17 years, Wilma Dennis of the home; two daughters, Tonya Thompson and husband, JR of Yale, Desiree Callaway and husband James of Sapulpa; one son, Chad Heilmann and wife, Reana of Glenpool; two sisters, Brenda Gibson of Yale, Becka Redding and husband, Ned of Yale; 10 grandchildren, Jordan Saucedo, Scott Lytle, Jayden Williams, Devin Dennis, Stevie Dennis, Hope Heilmann; Caitlen Heilmann, Brock Heilmann, Preston Callaway, and one on the way; two nieces, Whitney McDoulett, Andra Mac; one nephew, Eric Redding. Raymond is also survived by three Great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Virginia Dennis; one son, Christopher Wayne Dennis; one brother, Richard Dennis.
