Our beloved brother and father, Carl Estis Reeder passed from this life into glory Monday, August 7, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK after a valiant fight with a long illness.

Carl was born in Stillwater, OK on March 7, 1948 to John Thomas Reeder Jr. and Letha (Buntin) Reeder Flagor. He graduated from Yale High School and attended Oklahoma State University. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He held various jobs including pipeline x-ray technician, truck driver, carpenter, and mechanic.

Carl was an avid life long learner who loved the challenges of mathematics and a good game of chess. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family and helping his twin sisters. He was a loving husband, father, and brother who cared deeply for his family, and was proud of his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Blanchard, daughters, Amanda Slawski of Florida and Carla Nicole Tapia and husband Joel of Mannford, and a step-daughter Christina McCann and husband, Michael of Alaska, grandchildren Jessica and Matthew Slawski, Hannah Ousley, Justin Cox, and Sarah Tapia. He is also survived by his brother Tom Reeder and wife Barbara of Yale, his twin sisters Janice Reeder of Drumright and Janet Reeder of Stillwater, also step-siblings Barbara Mesnier of Kansas, Gail Flagor of California, Linda Carnes of Stillwater and Brenda Graven of Cushing, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father John Thomas Reeder, Jr., his mother Letha Buntin Reeder Flagor and a step-sister Alice Harmon.



Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing.

He will be laid to rest in a private family service at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Ok.
