Bobby Luther McEntire, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away at the age of 65, on Sunday August 20, 2017 at The Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing. Services will be held on August 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Agra High School Gymnasium in Agra, Oklahoma. Pastor Tom Wright will officiate; Interment will follow at the Parkland Cemetery.

Bobby was born on December 1, 1951 in Parkland, Oklahoma to Otho and Grace (Wright) McEntire. Bobby grew up around the Parkland and Agra area and attended and graduated from Agra High School in 1970. He began working in the oilfield for many years, working his way up to a Drilling Engineer. He also worked at National Standard for a short time of 10 years.
Bobby enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing, he especially enjoyed playing his guitar, or banjo, he could play just about any stringed instrument. In the last five years, Bobby liked to go to the Senior Citizens Center in Agra and play in the live band. He also enjoyed going to his Church in Chandler, but most of all Bobby loved spending time with his grandchildren, they were the bright spot in his life.

Bobby is survived by his parents Otho and Grace McEntire, one son: Daniel McEntire and wife Lindsey, his wife of 35 years: Marilyn McEntire, four sisters: Evon Thronesbery and husband Carroll, Tawanna Chapman and husband Frank, LaReva Mandeville and husband Rudy, and Brenda Hart, three grandchildren: Cashen, Conner, and Calloway McEntire, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents Nathan and Hazel Retherford, George Wright, and his paternal grandparents Martin and Virgie McEntire.
