Dorothy Louise Markwell Castor, of Oilton, OK, was born June 7, 1933 in Seminole, OK, and passed away August 31, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.

She was born to George Christopher Markwell and Lora Lavera Crosswhite Markwell. She married Jesse Carl Castor on November 2, 1951 in Shawnee, OK. To this union were born four children: Jeffrey Carl, David Allen, Naneta Diane (Nita) Carter, and Paul Edward.
Dorothy was employed as a secretary at Central Vo-Tech in Drumright, OK from 1969 through 1993.

She was a member of Cleveland (Oklahoma) Church of Christ.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gene Markwell; her husband, Jesse; and a son, Paul Edward Castor, Sr.

She is survived by her three remaining children and their families: Jeff Castor of Coweta, OK; David and Christie Castor of Sapulpa, OK; Nita and Marvin Carter of Jacksonville, FL; and daughter-in-law Shirley Castor of Drumright, OK.

She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include: Paul Edward Castor, Jr., of Ireland; Joseph Castor of Oklahoma City; Jarod Carter of Jacksonville, FL; Matthew Carter of Jacksonville, FL; Jamie and Jason Kelly of Wagoner, OK; Shelli Castor of Sapulpa, OK; and Shannon Castor of Sapulpa, OK.

Great-grandchildren include: Alaina Carter, Julie Carter, Ethan Carter, Emily Carter, James Castor, Johnathan Castor, Anthony Eason, and Jesse Castor. Dorothy also had one great-great-grandson, Levi Wayne Lewis of Wagoner, OK.

Also surviving Dorothy are four sisters: Mildred Story of Wewoka, OK; Irene Whitehead of Yukon, OK; Sharon Bane of Seminole, OK; and Kathy Moore of Edmond, OK. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Markwell of Shawnee, OK.

Services will be held at the Cleveland Church of Christ in Cleveland, OK, on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 2 p.m., with Doug Dingley officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton, OK.

Dorothy will be buried next to her husband at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK.
