Perkins Man Accused Of Impersonating Brother During Cushing Arrest
(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Perkins man was charged today in Payne County District Court with impersonating his brother during an arrest by a Cushing police officer on Aug. 23.
If convicted of creating liability for his brother by false personation, Braxton Terrance Reid, 24, could be given as much as a 10-year prison term and $10,000 fine in the case investigated by Cushing police.
Reid was scheduled to be arraigned from the Payne County Jail on his felony charge this afternoon.
Reid was also due to appear before a judge today for failing to appear in court in April on misdemeanor counts of driving a pickup truck at Little and Main Street in Cushing while his license was suspended and failing to wear a seatbelt on March 9.
Reid has also been charged with violating the terms of his probation on two separate misdemeanor charges of shoplifting in 2014, court records show.
