James Hagler

James McKinley Hagler III passed away on September 15, 2017 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Cushing with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday September 23, 2017 at the Palmer Marler funeral Home Chapel, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.

James was born on October 16, 1960 to James McKinley Hagler II and Betty Ann (Martin) in Cushing, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Cushing area. James graduated from Cushing High School in 1979. James met and married Angelita Lee Werner on September 9, 1989 in Stillwater and to this union one daughter Olivea was born. While working in construction, his jobs took him to Oklahoma City and Stillwater. While working in Stillwater, he helped in the construction of Boone Pickens Stadium. James moved to Wichita, Kansas to help take care of his mother until her passing. After the death of his mother, he moved back to Cushing.

James enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, watching OU and Dallas football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one daughter: Olivea Hagler, one brother: Sheldon Hagler and wife Marie, and two niceces: Tata and Shaunda, and other numerous of family and friends.

James is preceded in death by his parents.
