Eldon Leon Lewis passed on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Pawnee, at the age of 78.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery, Yale, Ok. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Monday at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Ok.

Funeral services are entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale, Ok.

Eldon was born February 26, 1939 in Douglas, WY, to Enoch Frank and Reedeth (Grigsby ) Lewis. His family soon moved to Yale, Ok, where he was raised as a child. He graduated from Yale High School in 1957. Then, on June 5, 1962 he married Kay Lynne Lochary; they were blessed with 53 wonderful years. Eldon was drafted in June 1962 by the U. S. Army, dismissed with an honorable discharge in June 1964. After returning from the service, he returned to pipelining; working across the United States with his family. Later he worked on refineries and electrical power plants as a boiler maker. He loved gardening, visiting with friends and family, hunting and fishing, and tinkering with lawnmowers and tillers.

Survivors include one daughter, Piper Begley and husband Jerry of Jennings, OK; one son, Troy Lewis and wife Lisa of Glencoe, OK; six grandchildren, Clint Begley, Justin Begley, Erica Thomason, Cody Lewis, Gage Morrow and Jacob Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Begley and Owen Begley; one sister, Gwen Schnitker and husband Paul of Pottsboro, TX; one brother, Terry Lewis and wife Jennifer of Savory, TX; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister Joyce Gibson and one daughter, Stacy Morrow.
