Kirby Lee Haskin, 63, returned to his heavenly home on September 26, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer and health decline. His devotion to his family and firm belief in God supported him in his struggles and ultimately gave him peace.

Kirby was born to the late Delbert Donald Haskin, and wife Phyllis Ann Haskin of the home, in Enid, Ok. On September 27, 1953. He graduated from Enid High School and immersed himself into machine studies through the vo-tech. Upon graduation from the program, Kirby began his career working for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City and that is where he retired from in 2009. During this time, Kirby met and married Becky Pizzatola. From this union, they were blessed with three boys. They are, Dustin and wife, Angela Haskin of Pond Creek, OK.; Jeffrey and wife, Amber Haskin of Choctaw, OK.; Andrew and wife, McKayla Haskin of Pond Creek OK., and 11 grandchildren: Chase Gibson, Gaige Gibson, Brylan Gibson, Emmalee Haskin, Dustin Haskin Jr., Paislee Haskin, Ayden Haskin, Noah Haskin, Riley Haskin, Tynlee Haskin, and Graysen Haskin.

Kirby was blessed with a large and loving family. His eyes lit up every time he was around his grandchildren. While his boys held a special place in his heart, his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He raised his boys with patience, discipline, and humility. His home was always the center of activity while they were young. There was not a friend who visited the Haskin home, that didn’t become family before they left. Kirby was a generous, kindhearted soul that was quick to help anyone in need. Sometimes this meant providing a safe gathering place for the boys friends, or giving someone a few dollars for lunch money so they wouldn’t go hungry.

Kirby leaves behind a legacy of love to his boys, which was passed down by his own father. He will be greatly missed on earth, but his family is comforted that he is whole again and embraced by the love of his heavenly father.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 2 PM at the Avery Cemetery with Pastor Sonny Johnson officiating. Family visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Davis Funeral Home Family Center.
