On Saturday, October 7th, 2017, Larry H. Lehr went on to be with the Lord at approximately 9:45 AM. Larry was a long-time resident of Cushing, Oklahoma, having made his home there since 1965.

Larry was born on November 12, 1939 in Sapulpa, Ok to the late Calvin and Louise (Falwell) Lehr.

He was well known and loved throughout the community having worked many years in radio at KUSH, as Publisher of the Cushing Daily Citizen, and finally as the Public Information Officer of Central VoTech where he retired in 2009. He was also a bivocational pastor for decades and pastor of Council Valley Baptist Church since 1987.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara of Cushing, his daughter, Michelle Lehr of Edmond, his son, Mark E. Lehr of Tulsa, Mark’s wife Beth Lehr and children, Sydni and Maxx, Sister Sherry Phillips of Hot Springs, Ar. He is also survived by numerous relatives, friends and family all over the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Louise Lehr, and his sister Suzie Hicks.

Services for Larry will held at Council Valley Baptist Church, 19016 East 44th Street, Yale, OK 74085 on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM with graveside services to follow, Dr. Ray Earley officiating. Larry will be interred at Euchee Valley Cemetery, East of Cushing.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 ~ 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK.

Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to the Baptist Children’s Home, 12700 E. 76th St. North, Owasso, OK 74055.
