Idalee Iona Greenfield Chesmore, longtime Cushing resident, passed away at home with family by her side on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the age 86.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing. Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Idalee was born on April 30, 1931 to Marion Elmer and Lola B. Sneed Bozarth in Albany, Missouri. Idalee grew up on the family farm, after Idalee’s mother’s passing in 1937, five children were split up between Grandparent’s and Aunt. She and two brother’s went to live with grandparents, the newborn sister and one brother went to live with Aunt Pauline. At age of 16, her Aunt Ida Hunter came to the grandparent’s and ask if she could take her to Indianapolis to live with her. This is where she became aquainted with the Church of the Firstborn and was baptized by Brother Horrace Huber in 1947. Later they moved to Oklahoma where she met and married Roy Forest Greenfield on Feb. 28, 1950. They spent 47 loving years together. From this union, they had six children, and one daughter from Roy’s previous marriage. Roy Lee, Sondra, Edwanna, Elvin, Kyle and Darwin. After the death of Fleeta Kay’s grandmother, she came to live with her Daddy and family at the age of 11 in 1958. After the death of Roy her husband in 1997. In 2000, she married Carl Chesmore. They spent 11 wonderful years together before his passing in 2011. Idalee was a caring mother and friend, who always put other’s needs in front of her own. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress for her family, she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, playing games and she loved reading her Bible. Idalee enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Idalee was a lifelong member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.

Idalee was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Idalee is survived by two sons: Darwin Greenfield and wife, Stephanie of Porterville, CA, Elvin Greenfield of Cushing; daughters: Edwanna Myers of Cushing, Kay Mason and husband, David of Cushing; sister, Sarann Kerby and husband, Charlie of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren: Toby Mason, Jason Greenfield, Anthony Myers and wife Natalie, Shawna McElhaney and husband Shane, Sarah Thurman and husband Brian, Danielle Morris and husband Jack, Cody Greenfield, Brittany Cherry and husband Landon, and Adam Greenfield; great grandchildren: Bryce Mason and wife Jackie, Tyler Mason, Daisy Greenfield, Wynter Greenfield, Arlie Myers, Declan Thurman, Hunter McElhaney, and Audrey McElhaney.

Idalee is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Marion Bozarth, Sheldon Bozarth, and Edward Bozarth; children: infant son, Kyle Douglas, daughter, Sondra Carol, and son Roy Lee; grandchildren: Bryan David Mason, Deonna Kay Mason, and grandson-in-law, Matthew DeJarnett.
