Jerry Leon Beeler, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 73. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Cushing. Rev. Ron McCaslin will officiate. Interment will follow at Underwood Cemetery, Yale, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.

Jerry was born on October 25, 1944 to the late Warnie and Irene (Cox) Beeler. He grew up in Yale, graduating from Yale High School in 1962. Jerry attended Okmulgee Tech for mechanics. Then was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era where he was a Helicopter Mechanic. After returning from the service, he married the love of his life Carol Dawes on June 22, 1968 at the First Baptist Church in Yale. To this union, Rita, Kyle and Jerad were born. They made their home in Yale and later moved to Cushing. He worked for Jerry James RV in Pawnee and later Moore Business Forms, retiring in 1994. While living in Yale, they attended First Baptist Church and when they moved to Cushing, they began attending Park Place Baptist Church. Jerry could always tell a good story, enjoyed talking, fishing, listening to music and his cars. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his great grandson.

Jerry is survived by his daughter Rita Zuniga, Javier Zuniga of Cushing, sons Kyle Beeler of Cushing and Jerad Beeler and wife Chrystal of Cushing, brother Gene Beeler and wife Sheryl of Stillwater, sister Diane Ballinger and husband Jimmy of Yale, grandchildren Samantha, Kirkland, Evan, Kevan, Alyciah, Logan, Chandler, Avery, Autumn, Kaizley, Kaliber, Joe and Clinton, great grandson Kamden, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carol Beeler.
