Kenneth Ray Newman, a longtime Yale resident passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Stillwater at the age of 69. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Lawson Cemetery, Yale. Rev. Barry Richards will officiate.


Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, OK.


Kenneth was born on March 30, 1948 in Oak Ridge, Oklahoma. He grew up in Tulsa, graduating from Nathan Hale High School. He married the love of his life Mary Willis on January 22, 1968, to this union five children were born. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict for four years. After returning from the service, they made their home in Yale. They attended the Assembly of God Church for a few years. Kenneth worked in the municipal utilities department for the City of Yale for many years. He enjoyed fishing with the family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandson.


He is survived by his loving wife Mary of the home, sons Kenneth Ray Newman II and wife Cheri of Yale, Matthew Neal Newman and wife Autumn of Yale, daughters Mary Elizabeth Newman Kendrick and husband Floyd of Glenpool, April Lanette Newman of Yale, Rickae Lytle Reams and husband Billy of Yale, brothers James Collins, Richard Collins, Larry Collins, Richard Newman, sisters Janette Simmons and Noella Newman, grandchildren Kyle Kendrick, Damon Newman, Shelby Newman, Jordan Newman, Cody Newman, Alexis Newman, Kenneth Newman III, Taylor Newman, Nathan Westmoreland, Austin Reams, Brady Rudd, Caden Rudd, Gage Tillison, one great grandson Gavin Kendrick.


He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James Newman and Troy Newman.
