Stanley Farar

Stanley Oneal Farar, age 62, passed from this life November 30, 2017 at his home in Cushing, surrounded by his wife and children.

Stan was born May 4, 1955 in Bakersfield, California to Clifford Farar and Flora Faye Bolen Farar. Stan spent his youth in the agricultural communities of Lamont and Arvin, California and moving to Oklahoma in 1975. He married Billie June Thompson November 10, 1981. He spent time living in the communities of Stroud, Chandler and settling his wife and children in Cushing.

Stan worked as a farm laborer, cowboy, carpet layer and industrial mechanic but his great passion was welding. He loved to weld and loved the tools and equipment that went with it.

Stan was a loving husband and father. He leaves behind to follow him, his mother, Flora Faye Farar of Stroud; one brother, Floyd Farar of Cushing; son, JD Cooper and Amber of Cushing; daughter, Regina Mills and John of Cushing; daughter, Angla Tallman Barnes and Phillip of Owasso; son, Clifford Farar and Jina of Cushing; grandchildren, Christopher, Jackson, Garrett, Cassidy, Jonna, Mikasa, Shelby, Mikaci, Merrik, Malix, Samuel Trace, Lachan, Kyle, Jade, Gavin, Quinten, Dezal and Paedyn; great grandchildren, Willow and Ezequiel and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Stan was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Farar and sister, Phyllis Wisely.

Stan was baptized by Brother Ray Smith at Park Place Baptist Church in Cushing on May 24, 1992.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Finley, Donelle and Vonda for the care they have given.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
