Glenn Wayne “Pete” Bledsoe passed from this life on Friday, December 1, 2017.  A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

Pete was born on April 29, 1936 to Eugene and Elizabeth (Barnes) Bledsoe.  He grew up in Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School.  After graduating, Pete took a job at the local bank as the head cashier and later ran the Stillwater Savings and Loans in Cushing.  Pete worked in the banking business for many years, until he found his true passion in painting.  He painted in commercial buildings all around the Cushing area and painted houses of many residents around Cushing.  When Pete wasn’t working, he was found at the golf course, fishing, or cheering on OU. He loved giving people a hard time, especially waitresses but really cared deeply for them.

Pete never knew a stranger. He loved all his friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Pete is survived by one son, Mark Bledsoe and wife, Vickie of Newfield, NY; two daughters, Kim Parker and husband, Chris of Cushing and Kelly Oliver and husband, Gary of Jacksboro, TX; 10 grandchildren: Shannon Friedrich and husband, Jeff and their child, Taylor; Michael Yaple; Ashley Yaple and child, Hinley Garrett; Courtney Bledsoe; Casey Bledsoe; Crystal Rockey and husband, Kirby and their children, Madisyn and Kolten; Brandy Johnson and husband, Brent; Kyle Kinder; Lexi Oliver.
