Convicted Killer Charged With Contraband In Cushing

(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cimarron Correctional Facility inmate serving two life sentences for two counts of first-degree murder in 2000 in Muskogee County was charged Tuesday in Payne County District Court with having eight cellular phones, methamphetamine and oxycodone in the private prison in Cushing on Aug. 18.
    Steven Jermaine Harris, 38, who remains in the Cushing facility according to court records, has been scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 31, 2018, on a felony charge of possession of contraband in prison.
    If convicted, Harris could be given an additional two-year prison term and a $2,500 fine, court records show.
