Eldon D. Burch, a longtime Perkins resident, passed peacefully from this life at his home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 8, 1932 to parents John and Gracie Burch in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. As a teenager his family moved to Perkins where Eldon would call home for many years to come. The love of music was instilled in him at a young age and he grew up playing and singing country music with his brothers. Eldon married the love of his life, Ms. Darlene Pruitt on November 16, 1965 in Cushing, Oklahoma. They raised their children in Perkins as Eldon worked as a Truck Driver and Diesel Mechanic for many years. When not working, Eldon could often be found playing music or enjoying watching his sons play and sing, spending time with his family, or playing with his dogs. He will always be remembered for his charming sense of humor and genuine charisma.

Eldon is survived by his wife Darlene of the home, children; Roger and wife Phyllis Burch of Sand Springs, OK, Ronnie and wife Sue of Perkins, OK, Vince and Sandra Burch of Cushing, OK, Eddie Burch of Ponca City, OK, and Carmen Burch of Perkins, OK; one sister, Avinell Robinson; 10 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
