Norman Charles Cicle, 98, longtime Perkins resident, passed from this life on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Perkins Church of Christ.  Interment will follow at Iowa Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.

Norman was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on October 4, 1919 to Jim and Gladys (Cassiday) Cicle.  He and his family moved to Oklahoma at a young age.  He attended school in Perkins and Ripley.  Norman joined the U.S. Army in 1942.  He served during World War II, as an Army Medic.  During his service, Norman received the Bronze Star Medal.  After proudly serving his country, Norman was honorably discharged in 1945. Upon returning to the U.S., Norman met and fell head over heels in love with Carrie Carr. They married three months later on November 13, 1945 in Stillwater, OK. They had three children: Keenan, Sandy, and Chuck. They shared 70 loving years together, before Carrie’s passing in 2015.

Norman was a hard-working man who made sure his family had everything they needed.  He worked at Ross Martin Printing for many years, and once retired worked on his farm where he raised horses and cows. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Norman is survived by three children:  Keenan Cicle, Sandy Puckett and husband, Ken, Chuck Cicle and wife, Nancy; eleven grandchildren: Rodney, Lori, Todd, Jill, Nicki, Christy, Clayton, Monica, Andrew, Angelina, and Micah.  Norman is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

Norman is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Carrie (Carr) Cicle; both parents; two brothers: Don Cicle and Loren Cicle; one sister, Janice Donnelley; daughter-in-law, Jean Cicle.
