Corey James McCrackin, 47, passed from this life at his home in Cushing, Oklahoma on January 29, 2018. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma.

Corey was born in Cushing on May 9, 1970 to parents James C. and Myra Lea (Isbell) McCrackin. He grew up there and graduated from Cushing High School with the class of 1988. Corey was a great wrestler in high school and went to state twice.

Corey was an avid outdoorsman, he could often be found lifting weights, working on his 1972 Mustang fastback, woodworking, or building things with his hands. He loved to spend time with family and have them over to grill out and watch the Sooners play. Growing up, his daughters played softball and Corey would rarely miss a game or opportunity to take them fishing. He loved his kids, and all kids for that matter, but was especially fond of his two grandchildren and anxiously awaited the arrival of his third. Corey’s laugh was contagious, he was known for his bright sense of humor and pranks.

Corey is survived by his two daughters, Kylea and husband Spencer Bridges of Chandler, OK, and Haley McCrackin of Stillwater, OK; stepchildren, Andrew Jones of Weatherford, OK, Kaitlyn Hull of Oklahoma City, OK, and Alyssa Hull of Stillwater, OK; his parents, Jim and Myra McCrackin of Cushing, OK; one sister, Mika McCrackin of Cushing, OK; two grandchildren, Kambrie McCrackin, Macie Bridges, and one on the way; also, his grandmother, Coeta Isbell of Cushing, OK.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Doris McCrackin, and Myron Isbell.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cushing Christian Church, 302 S. Linwood Ave. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 800 S. Linwood, Cushing, Oklahoma.
