Stillwater Man and Woman Critically Injured in Collision
(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is based on a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
A personal injury collision occurred February 6th (2018) at approximately 2:35 pm on State Highway 33 (0.2 of a mile west of Range Road), approximately 6 miles west of Perkins, in Payne County.
Wayne Keith Prebehalla (50), of Stillwater, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet westbound on SH33 west of Range Road when his vehicle departed the roadway to the right, and he then over-corrected, crossing the center-line, and departing the roadway to the left. Prebehalla over-corrected again and the vehicle became airborne. The Chevy then crossed SH33 and departed the roadway to the right, rolling approximately 2 times. All of the occupants were ejected. The Chevy then came to rest on its wheels.
Prebehalla was transported by Guthrie EMS to OU Medical Center (Norman) where he was admitted in critical condition. Herlinda Deleon Berg (58) of Stillwater was a passenger in the vehicle, and was transported by Guthrie EMS to OU Medical Center (Norman). Berg was also admitted in critical but stable condition.
According to the DPS report seat-belts were not in use at the time of the collision.
