Fatality Collision in Okfuskee County
(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is based on a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
A fatality collision occurred at February 11th (2018) at approximately 10:34 am on Old 62 half, ¾ of a mile west of US75, approximately 8 miles east of Okemah, in Okfuskee county.
A 2013 Chevy (4 door) that was being driven by a juvenile male (17) from Henryetta, was traveling eastbound on Old 62 when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right for an unknown reason striking the concrete bridge post and ejecting the passenger who was a juvenile (a female age 15), from Okemah.
The juvenile male was transported by Creek Nation Hospital in Henryetta. He was treated and released. The juvenile female expired at the scene from multiple injuries.
According to the DPS report seat-belts were in use, and the airbags deployed.
