A Stillwater man hired to remove scrap wood from a woman’s property on E. 6th Avenue has been ordered to appear in court on charges of stealing more than $20,000 worth of items including jewelry and cash from her home during a burglary.

Yale Woman Accused of Possessing Seven Guns after Former Felony

A 62-year-old Yale woman has been charged with possessing seven guns at her residence in the 700 block of W. Fort Worth Street, after having been convicted of felony drug possession in Payne County in 1989.

Cushing Ex-Con Accused of Meth Possession

An ex-convict was arraigned Wednesday from the Payne County Jail on charges of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on March 16 in Cushing, while he was on drug probation in Creek County.
Nathaniel Marteze McCormick, 31, of Cushing, had been released from prison in October 2015 after serving about eight months of a two-year sentence for domestic abuse by strangulation in Creek County in 2011, state Department of Corrections records show.

The driver of a pickup truck with a Kansas paper tag has been charged with possessing methamphetamine after a drug dog alerted on the driver’s side of the vehicle during a traffic stop in Perkins, an affidavit alleged.

28th annual Youth Arts Show

March is Youth Arts Month. Cushing Public Schools and the Lachenmeyer Arts Center are combining efforts to celebrate and recognize art work created by Cushing’s youth during March.

The 28th Annual Youth Arts Show is on exhibit at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center March 21 through 30. The Lachenmeyer Arts Center is in the Cushing Youth & Community Center at 700 S. Little.
